Exciting Update: My MBA Study Abroad Journey Nears the Finish Line!

Time truly flies when you have a transformative experience! Reflecting on my incredible MBA study abroad journey, I’m thrilled to share the highlights of my final term during the spring semester (4/5-5/9).

Mastering Project Management: A Memorable Experience with Prof. Omar

A lecture about Project selection

Allow me to share my incredible journey through Prof. Omar’s Project Management class, which proved to be an invaluable asset during my MBA study abroad. Prof. Omar’s expertise in project planning, coupled with his unique style of teaching, left a lasting impression on me and my fellow classmates. His ability to communicate complex concepts with humor not only engaged us but also brought laughter to our learning experience.

One aspect that truly enhanced my understanding was the practical application of project management tools, particularly through the utilization of Smartsheet. This hands-on experience allowed me to witness the power of these tools firsthand, providing me with a solid foundation for future endeavors. As someone who has already acquired project management skills through personal experience and practice, I firmly believe that systematically learning the latest professional frameworks and tools in English will immensely benefit my career growth and development.

Prof. Omar’s class not only equipped me with new knowledge but also instilled confidence in my ability to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of project management. I am excited to apply these skills in real-world scenarios and contribute to the success of future projects.

Unleashing Authentic Leadership: Prof. Amit’s Impactful Class

I am thrilled to share my experience with Prof. Amit’s Leadership for Leading Change class, which left an indelible mark on my journey towards authentic leadership. From the very first session, I was captivated by the sense of urgency that permeated the classroom, creating an environment unlike any I had experienced before.

One of the most profound lessons I learned was the importance of strategic persuasion through trust and consent metrics, essential qualities for any effective leader. Through thought-provoking discussions on the movie “12 Angry Men,” Prof. Amit introduced us to the six types of leaders—Coercive, Authoritative, Affiliative, Democratic, Pacesetter, and Coaching. These leadership archetypes shed light on the various approaches one can employ when leading change.

Moreover, the class delved into the movie “Invictus,” illuminating the significance of utilizing the six types of leaders. This deep dive not only broadened our understanding but also emphasized the need for adaptability and versatility when faced with different leadership challenges.

One of the most demanding yet rewarding assignments was the HBR 7S Analysis team project. This intense and time-consuming endeavor pushed us to not only grasp the intricacies of the case but also to effectively persuade our teammates and classmates through meaningful discussions. This practical application of leadership principles equipped us with the skills necessary to drive change and make a lasting impact.

With Prof. Amit

I commend Prof. Amit for his exceptional organization and the valuable experience he provided us with. The class not only expanded my knowledge but also empowered me to embrace my authentic leadership style. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from such an inspiring mentor and look forward to implementing these insights in my future endeavors.

Navigating Web 3.0: Prof. Beau’s Business Challenge Unveils New Possibilities

The course lecture about Web 3.0, Crypto, and NFTs

I am thrilled to share my enriching experience in Prof. Beau’s Business Challenge #5 class, where we embarked on a journey to grasp the fundamentals of Web 3.0 and explore its potential impact. The culmination of this class was the opportunity to develop and propose a go-to-market strategy for Uphold’s groundbreaking service, Topper.

This immersive project provided me with invaluable insights into the world of Web 3.0 and crypto assets. However, it also brought to light a significant challenge. Regrettably, my home country, Japan, lacks a comprehensive tax system and supportive environment for Web 3.0 and crypto assets. Consequently, many talented individuals in these industries are compelled to seek opportunities outside Japan, such as in the United States and Singapore. Recognizing this as not just a personal concern but a larger issue, I am motivated to further my studies in emerging technologies like Web 3.0, NFTs, DeFi, and Cryptocurrency. My aim is to harness their potential to drive my future career and contribute to creating a more conducive ecosystem in Japan.

Brainstorming of Crypto payment platform idea and market analysis

One highlight of the class was the opportunity for select teams from each cohort to present their proposals in front of the client and fellow classmates. I was captivated by the exceptional presentations delivered by these teams, showcasing their profound marketing initiatives and region-specific plans targeting markets beyond the United States. The diverse focus areas included the United Kingdom, Brazil, Vietnam (Southeast Asia), and even Japan. I express my deepest gratitude to Prof. Beau for curating this incredible learning opportunity that broadened my horizons and inspired me to think globally.

With Prof. Beau

Moving forward, I am eager to continue exploring the vast possibilities of Web 3.0 and the ever-evolving landscape of crypto assets. I am confident that the knowledge and skills acquired in this class will prove instrumental in shaping my future endeavors. With enthusiasm and determination, I am ready to embrace the transformative power of emerging technologies and contribute to a more inclusive and forward-thinking business ecosystem.

Funtastic MBA Buddies: The Pillars of Support on My Hult Journey

Chill at teammate’s house after tough assignment

Embarking on the Global One Year MBA program at Hult was a transformative experience that brought its fair share of challenges. However, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with remarkable individuals who became my cherished MBA buddies. Together, we navigated the hurdles that came our way, supporting and inspiring each other every step of the journey.

This program marked not only my first venture into studying a specialized field of business in English but also my maiden voyage of living abroad. Naturally, it presented its share of difficulties. Every time I encountered a daunting class or a demanding assignment, feelings of frustration and self-doubt threatened to overwhelm me. There were moments when anxiety felt suffocating. However, it was the unwavering support of my MBA buddies that transformed my Hult Journey into one of the most memorable and uplifting chapters of my life.

Each of us will now embark on our individual paths, venturing into the world as future global leaders. It is my earnest desire to continue evolving and growing, so that I may contribute to the success of these exceptional individuals upon completing the MBA program. Though finding the exact words to convey the depth of my gratitude is a challenge, please know that my appreciation knows no bounds.

To my MBA buddies, thank you from the bottom of my heart (I really wanted to tag all my friends, but I’m trying to avoid cluttering up the text).
